Hello, and welcome to Tarpon Dog Charters. My name is Capt. Dave Dant. I am a licensed and insured flats fishing guide on the beautiful waters of Tampa Bay Florida.

I guide clients to Tarpon, Redfish, Snook, Trout, Cobia, Mackerel, Little Tunny and Sharks as well as other species, with a fly rod or light spinning rod.  I have been helping people catch fish for over 30 years and and have been doing it professionally for over twenty.  I am experienced helping clients with varying skill levels:  from the seasoned fly fisherman who wants to hunt laid up Tarpon and tailing Redfish to the beginner who wants to catch anything and wants instructions on how to get better.  As a professional guide I owe it to my clients to have my boat and equipment in top shape and to do whatever I can to make sure that a safe and enjoyable day is had by all.  I welcome the opportunity to show you how good the fishing is in Tampa Bay.

As well as great fishing, the Tampa Bay area has a lot to do for non fishing days or non fishing companions.  I am happy to make recommendations on everything from hotels and restaurants  to attractions, transportation and entertainment.  Packages can be customized and multi-boat parties can be arranged for business or large groups.
